Our Curriculum
Our goal is to teach all students to think, critically and creatively. To this end, Ross Woodward teachers provide a relevant curriculum with active student learning goals for all our students.
Ross Woodward Explorers are learning about yesterday to build a new tomorrow. Students in all grade levels engage in thematic studies that explore the value, viability, and relevance of history in today’s society. We aim for students to link the past to the present in order to think innovatively about the future. Our learning goals and coached products ask students to demonstrate an openness to learning. They are required to think skillfully and deeply in order to acquire and use information creatively. Thematic studies are woven into core subjects and explored through various disciplines and points of view. We prioritize real-world audiences and competitions because it is our goal for students to gain experience using skills, knowledge, and creativity to solve real-world problems. We offer specialized courses in order to support student opportunity, choice, and enrichment.
