How to apply:
Families interested in enrolling their children in Ross Woodward Classical Studies Magnet School must adhere to the New Haven Public Schools inter-district lottery system for application. Please visit the website, www.newhavenmagnetschools.com for guidelines and applications.
The magnet lottery is held once each year, usually at the end of March. Prior to the lottery, applications become available in January and are due in March. Applications can be received on-line or in person at the Magnet Office located at 54 Meadow Street, New Haven.
Sibling preference is granted to applicants who currently have a sibling enrolled in Ross Woodward. Neighborhood preference is granted to applicants who live in the area zoned for Ross Woodward.
Once a child has been enrolled in Ross Woodward s/he does not need to apply again unless s/he withdraws.

We will be having Open Houses at Ross Woodward Classical Studies School throughout the enrollment period. Tours are also given ongoing throughout the year. Please call Regina Criscuolo the Magnet Resource Teacher at 475-220-3113 for dates and further information.
We Offer Shadowing For Prospective Students:
We offer shadowing for grades 3 - 8 from 10:00am - 12:30pm by appointment.

Shadowing & Tours
Shadowing students is the process of following a student through all or part of a school day to gain insight into the life of a Ross Woodward student is all about. Shadowing is available for students in grades 3 to 8.
In addition to our Open House Dates, we offer individual tours to families as needed by appointment.
