How to apply:
Families interested in enrolling their children in Ross Woodward Classical Studies Magnet School must adhere to the New Haven Public Schools inter-district lottery system for application. Please visit the website, www.newhavenmagnetschools.com for guidelines and applications.
The magnet lottery is held once each year, usually from January to March, beginning with the application in January, open houses and tours through Feb, and final lottery processes in March. Applications can be received on-line or completed online in-person at the Magnet Office located at 54 Meadow Street, New Haven.
Sibling preference is granted to applicants who currently have a sibling enrolled in Ross Woodward. Neighborhood preference is granted to applicants who live in the area zoned for Ross Woodward.
Once a child has been enrolled in Ross Woodward s/he does not need to apply again unless s/he withdraws.

We will be having Open Houses at Ross Woodward Classical Studies School throughout the enrollment period. Tours are also given ongoing throughout the year. Please call Elizabeth Finn the Magnet Resource Teacher at 475-220-3113 for dates and further information.

Make sure to follow the NHPS district pages for updated information on Open Houses! All Magnet Schools in the NHPS district offer tours and Open Houses.
The Magnet Fair is also held by the NHPS District in partnership with School Choice Program in the beginning of the new year each year.
